Summer Youth Program

The Hire YOUth! Summer Program provides eligible youth ages 14 to 24 from Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Marshall, Maury, Perry, and Wayne counties with paid workplace experiences at area businesses for up to eight weeks during the summer.

These internships give young people a taste of the working world, exposure to career opportunities and an understanding of how school is connected to economic success.

Update (6/16/10)-2010 Hire Youth Summer Program

The Senate has not approved the Summer Youth bill for 2010. Therefore, the South Central TN Workforce Alliance will not be able to provide a Summer Youth Employment Program for the summer of 2010. Please continue to visit our website for important updates and information.

In the meantime, I would encourage teens to visit your local TN Career Center for information regarding part-time Summer Employment. Also, please visit the following websites listed below regarding Teen Employment.
